You've been the room mom and the team mom. Maybe once in a while you were the cool mom. But most of the time you were in the trenches. Packing the lunches, chaperoning the field trips, doing load after load of freaking laundry and ... planning the carpool.
But now you're done! The kids are driving themselves and leaving the nest. Somehow you have arrived at a place where you are no longer a slave to the carpool. It's finally your time to reclaim your evenings and weekends. But who are you now and how do you want to spend your time? Your money? Your company?
Whether you're staring blankly in the mirror. Or at your husband... and thinking, what now? This is your place for inspiration, humor and tips. Because life is really just starting now that you've driven your last carpool!

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the mom behind Life After Carpool, I'm a happily married, almost 50-year-old mom of 3 teens who are close to leaving the nest (buh-bye)! I'm based in Arizona but you better believe I try to escape to the beach as much as possible now that I'm no longer a slave to the carpool. I'm also a dog mom, wine lover and Yacht Rock addict.
But enough about me. Your turn... introduce yourself, below
